Our German Shepherds
Our female is a bicolor out of east and west german lines. Her pedigree contains dogs such as Alk Vom Osterburg Quell. She is a typical german-minded girl, more business than fun. Protective, the peace-keeper, and the fun squasher. It is a daily occurrence for her to correct our fun-loving male for chasing the children. She is very bonded to everyone in the house and is our nanny-dog.
Calm and quiet inside, but can quickly turn it on when out working/playing. She weighs about 78 lbs.
Our male is a blanket back black and tan of mostly west german lines, specifically Kirschental. He is all about fun, play and learning. Whereas our female is the watcher of the children, he is more of the playmate. Always looking for a good tug or toss, game of 'tag', but also extremely affectionate and quite the cuddler. Herding instinct and prey drive is definitely within him, but easily directed and managed. He weighs about 90 lbs.
